Privacy Policy
This policy describes exactly what data this website actually processes, no more, no less.
1. Data Controller
The controller responsible for data processing in connection with this website is:
Bienz Storen GmbHEngiberg 19
6423 Seewen
Switzerland
Phone: 079 850 00 19
Email: info@bienzstoren.ch
2. Principles of Data Processing
This website is deliberately lean and does not integrate any advertising networks. Personal data is processed only in three cases: when you actively send us an enquiry via the contact form (sections 3 and 10), when technically necessary server log files are created when the website is accessed (section 4) or fonts are loaded (section 5), or when you have expressly consented to the use of Google Analytics (sections 6–9).
3. Contact and Contact Form
If you use our contact form on the «Contact» page, we process the information you provide:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Selected enquiry type
- Your message
This information is checked server-side and used exclusively to respond to your enquiry; section 10 describes how the sending process technically works. An additional field invisible to you (a «honeypot») is used solely to detect automated spam submissions, is not filled in during normal use of the form, and does not trigger sending if it is filled in. Your information is not used for advertising purposes and is not passed on to any third parties other than those named in sections 10 and 12.
4. Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted by Swizzonic AG, a hosting provider based in Switzerland. When this website is accessed, technical information is automatically recorded and processed for the operation and security of the site, as is technically standard practice for virtually every web hosting service. This includes in particular the IP address, date and time of access, the page accessed and the browser type used. A specific retention period for such log files is set by Swizzonic as part of the hosting agreement and is not part of the website code itself; we are therefore unable to state it conclusively here.
5. Fonts / Google Fonts
This website embeds the «Fjalla One» typeface directly via the Google Fonts library (not hosted locally). When each page is loaded, your browser fetches the font file directly from Google's servers (Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC), regardless of your cookie decision, since this is not an analytics or marketing tool. This technically requires your IP address to be transmitted to Google. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.
6. Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC) to understand how many people visit our website, which pages are viewed most frequently, how visitors find us, and what interactions take place on the website. In doing so, data such as your (Google-processed) IP address, device and browser information, and your usage behaviour on this website may be transmitted to Google and analysed there. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.
7. Consent
On your first visit, a banner shows two equally weighted buttons: «Accept 🍪» (consent) and «No thanks» (decline). We have technically verified that as long as no decision has been made, or you decline, the Google Analytics script is not inserted into the page and no connection to Google Analytics servers is established. Only when you click «Accept 🍪» is the script loaded and measurement started. For this we use «Google Consent Mode»: when each page loads, consent is initially set to «denied» by default (for both analytics and advertising purposes); only your active consent changes this. You can reopen and change your decision at any time via the «Cookie Settings» link in the footer of every page.
8. Storage of Your Consent Decision
Your choice is stored exclusively locally in your browser (so-called «localStorage», not a cookie in the technical sense), under the key «bs_cookie_consent», as a simple value of «granted» or «denied», together with a timestamp of the decision. This information does not leave your device on its own, is not transmitted to us or to third parties, and contains no further personal data. If localStorage is not available in your browser (e.g. in some private browsing windows), the decision is not stored and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
9. The «generate_lead» Event on a Successful Contact Enquiry
On the contact page, we additionally trigger a single event called «generate_lead», but only if you have consented to Google Analytics AND your enquiry via the contact form was actually sent successfully (not merely when «Send» is clicked). This event is transmitted without any form data whatsoever: neither first name, last name, email address, phone number, enquiry type nor message is sent to Google Analytics. Its sole purpose is to let us count the number of successful contact enquiries.
10. Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Graph
The contact form is sent server-side via the Microsoft Graph interface directly to our Microsoft 365 mailbox info@bienzstoren.ch. Your form data leaves our web server and is sent to Microsoft's infrastructure (sender mailbox info@bienzstoren.ch), where the email is received and stored. There is deliberately no other sending route (no SMTP or server-side mail fallback). If transmission to Microsoft fails, you receive an error message instead of a false confirmation of success, and your information is not automatically passed on elsewhere.
11. External Links
This website contains links to external offerings, in particular to the websites of our manufacturer partners, as well as, on the contact page, a simple link to a Google Maps search for our address (no embedded map, no Google Maps script on our page). Clicking such a link takes you away from our website; the privacy policy of the destination site applies to data processing there.
12. Disclosure of Data to Service Providers and Processing Abroad
With your consent to Google Analytics (sections 6–9), data may be transmitted to Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC and processed there, including outside Switzerland. When the contact form is sent (section 10), your information is transmitted to Microsoft as part of our Microsoft 365 subscription; processing outside Switzerland is also possible here. We do not know the exact server region(s) in which Google or Microsoft process the respective data, and these are therefore not conclusively named here.
13. Retention of Personal Data
We retain enquiries submitted via the contact form in our Microsoft 365 mailbox for as long as is reasonable for processing your enquiry and answering any follow-up questions. For server log files (section 4) and for data collected via Google Analytics (section 6), we are not aware of any specific retention period derivable from the website code; such periods are set by the respective hosting provider or within the Google Analytics settings.
14. Data Security
We take appropriate technical measures to protect data transmitted via this website against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. For example, the contact form is sent exclusively server-side, and the credentials for sending email are stored in a file that is blocked against direct web access. However, complete protection for data transmitted over the internet can technically never be guaranteed.
15. Rights of Data Subjects
Under applicable data protection law (in particular the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection), you have the right to request information about the data we process about you, as well as to request its correction, deletion or restriction of processing. Simply get in touch with us:
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We update this privacy policy whenever the website or the tools used change (e.g. if additional cookies or analytics tools are used in future). The version published at the time of your visit to this page applies.
This privacy policy describes the technical status actually determined from the website code (as of: October 2026). It was prepared without legal review and does not replace legal advice.
